About The Institute

INTRODUCTION

The Indian Educational Foundation was constituted by a group of professionals and technocrats who hail from different areas of Bihar and Jharkhand realised that special efforts and importance were needed for promoting technical education in the states and particularly amongst the less educated mass of the areas. To spread technical education, it is believed by the promoters that such type of education will help the entire society to be developed both economically and socially. This type of pious attitude resulted in the establishment of the TRUST in 1999.

Taking another step forward in this direction, the promoters established four technical institutes and a school. Last but not the least, they have established this Ranchi Institute of Technology which is in the FOURTH place in succession.

The Trust, 'The Indian Educational Foundation' was awarded "Excellence in Technical Education Award" - Gold Medal by "The Indian Economic Development & Research Association (IEDRA), New Delhi.

Education Excellence Award by ASSOCHAM.

Ranchi Institute of Technology is an attempt to promote Technology revolution by using modern management techniques and potentialities.


OBJECTIVE

The Institute aims at:

  • 1. Producing good technician by imparting theoretical training in combination withPractical one.
  • 2. TO train intelligent young boys who are not so keen on an academic career but have the manual skills and aptitude forpractical application of theories.

SCOPE OF EMPLOYMENT

After passing the course students may get employment in Central, Public, Private Ltd. companies like C.C.L., B.C.C.L., RAILWAY, N.T.P.C., D.V.C., H.E.C., IFICO, TELCO, TISCO, SAIL, ONGC, MITTAL, JINDAL, PASCO, ESSAR, Usha Martin etc.


SELF-EMPLOYMENT:

After taking proper training, students may open their own maintenance, Assembling manufacturing units of Electrical Motors, Fans, TV Stabiliser, Mechanical Fitting Shop, Machine Shop, Welding Shop, Automobile Workshop and become selfdependent, and tobea boss himself.
